Bank of America worker faces open discrimination

IACN and other people of conscious are profoundly shocked at the discriminatory treatment a female Muslim worker has received at the Bank of America.  It is even more astonishing that instead of taking any positive action, the Bank of America has played an active role in the victimisation.

The worker at the Bank of America suffered from open racial and religious discrimination from her colleagues to such an extent that she required medical treatment.

In one of the E-mails, a colleague stated “Muslim terrorists are so quick to commit suicide” because they have “no beer, no booze…rags for clothes…you can’t shave, your wife can’t shave…your bride is picked by someone else. She smells like your donkey, but your donkey has a better disposition.”

Despite the fact that she brought this to the attention of her managers, they did not take any action but instead joined this discriminatory campaign against her to such an extent that she required medical attention.  One female manager, after learning that the Muslim employee attended an anti-war rally, said she would have loved to throw a “hand grenade at the protesters if [she] had one in [her] hand.”

The Council on American-Muslim Relations – Maryland (CAIR-MD) has called for American Muslims to contact Mr Ken Lewis, CEO of the Bank of America and suggest that they urgently investigate this matter.
